Over 80% of Texas schools, public, charter and private (some christian schools) have purchased and implemented a curriculum called Cscope. Cscope from Kindergarten thru 12th grade is written with the intentions of indoctrinating children with the United Nations Agenda 21 goals. Agenda 21 is commonly called Sustainable Development. A warm fuzzy term with devastating effects on American culture and freedom.
Please watch Glenn Beck exposing Cscope on his radio show.
The following is from a Cscope 1st grade lesson. The teacher is instructed to ask these question in regard a/the child preparing for their own birthday party.
- Is this a party that could be for you in real-life?
- Why or why not?
- Could scarcity, not having enough of something, have anything to do with what you have at a birthday party? Explain.
- Could scarcity affect the choices you make about a birthday party?
The following is more from the same lesson.
- When we think of needs, we still have to make choices. We may need food, but we have to choose between expensive food or less expensive food. Display advertising pages to show how similar items can cost different amounts. Show many examples of items that can be purchased at a number of different prices.
- Very often money is what determines our decision as to what to buy. Some questions families may discuss and ask themselves when making decisions about needs are:We meet our needs and wants by obtaining goods and services. Direct attention to the chart. Look at the items under each of the headings.
- Do we really need this?
- Does it meet a basic need?
- Is this the best value for the money?
- As we learned previously, goods are things people can touch and feel. These can usually be bought or acquired by trading. Services are actions provided by people to other people, such as washing a car or building a house or sewing clothes. Most items on the chart are goods, but if, for example, food is eaten at a restaurant, then the people who serve the meal are providing a service.
- Ask:
- What good and services look like at home, school and in the community? (This was covered in the previous lesson.)
- Say:
- In our families, we make decisions all the time regarding goods and services we may need or want.
- Ask:
- Do families meet needs in the same way?
- How do they meet needs in similar ways?
- Do families meet needs in different ways?
- How do they meet needs in different ways?
Why scare these little first graders into thinking that mom and day may
not have the enough resources for their family?
