Progressive Media Mocks Texas Seniors Peacefully Protesting Arabic Immersion School Opening

Progressive media ridiculed a handful of harmless middle aged and senior citizens peacefully protesting outside the gates of the nation’s first Arabic Immersion Magnet School in the Houston Independent School District (ISD). The Arabic immersion school opened yesterday for 132 pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students.

The protest group numbered about 30 people, at its height. They waved American and Israeli flags in solidarity of Western and Judeo-Christian values. Some had held two flags, others, held homemade protest signs that read: “Everything I ever cared to know about Islam was taught to me by Muslims on 9-11-2001,” “American Schools, American Kids,” and “Qatar Out of Our Schools.”

Outlets like NewFix insinuated that the mild mannered demonstrators were childlike, “throwing a hissy fit” for having concerns about how their taxpayer dollars were being spent by the public school system. The Houston Press characterized them as”assholes,” and the San Antonio Current mocked their elders as “dunces” and “an embarrassment to decent Texans everywhere.”

Even Houston ISD Chief-of-Staff Jason Spencer went for the cheap shot in an attack tweet that skirted any actual issues:

In news reports, the smattering of civilly obedient dissenters also expressed concerns over any potential Arabic immersion school funding from Qatar. The Qatar Foundation International (QFI) is closely associated with the unsavory Muslim Brotherhood that was founded by Sheikha bint Al Thani, the founder of Al Jazeera, and they give to educational causes.

The Qatar Foundation International granted the Arabic immersion school $75,000, according to the Houston ISD Board of Education’s August 13 meeting agenda documents that break down those earmarked QFI funds.

The grant is for “Arabic language activities and Arab cultural events for students, teacher professional development, educational resources, the promotion of the Arabic language, community outreach, and curriculum development to promote the educational mission of the Arabic Immersion Magnet School,” it states in section D-2 Acceptance of Grant Funds in Support Of District wide and School-Specific Programs and Authorization to Negotiate and Execute Contracts Required Under the Grants, Attachment 7.

Because the grant money exceeded $5,000, it had to be approved by the board, although the D-2 packet memo stated that it was part of a summary of grants already awarded to Houston ISD. In writing, the board recommended accepting the grant funds at the bottom of the memo.

In 2013, Tucson Unified School District in Arizona asked its school board for permission to accept QFI money to be used to implement “innovative curricula and teaching materials to be used in any Arabic language classroom,” Family Security Matters reported.

In 2011, QFI partnered with the U.S. Department of Education’s Connect All Schools consortium “to connect every school in the U.S. with the world by 2016” digitally, which President Obama unveiled in a historic 2009 speech in Cairo.

Houston ISD posted opening day photos on its news blog that included several women sporting various degrees of hijabs, the Arabic veil worn by Muslim women.

Greer also called the school demographically diverse, asserting students were divvied up into equal thirds among Hispanic, white and black students. On the news blog, he said: “This year is especially exciting, as we continue to set our sights on making sure our students have access to a truly global education.”

Breitbart Texas originally reported about the Arabic Immersion Magnet School last November. Yesterday, district Superintendent Terry Grier declared Houston the “energy capital of the world,” but that was the same comment he gave last winter as the impetus behind the creation of the school. That, and an apparently overwhelming demand for such a school.

Houston’s KHOU-TV (CBS) reported that Arabic was the second most common spoken language at home, according to the district. In November, the school board claimed the Houston metropolitan area was home to more than 75,000 Arab-Americans, although, those figures did not add up to far more conservative numbers from 2013, which found the local Arabic-speaking population was at 23,300.

A 2014 Greater Houston Partnership white paper did not even account for Arabic as a language spoken at home since it only identified Arab as an ancestry for 0.7 percent (41,653 people) of the Houston metropolitan population, also reported by Breitbart Texas. More over, school district figures listed only 1.3 percent or 855 students who spoke Arabic as a native or “home” language out of the 215,000 total students enrolled last year.

The Houston Chronicle reported that number was up to 925 students this year, bumping Arabic as a home language right behind Spanish speakers. The district has 59,700 Spanish speakers. Houston ISD’s Spanish dual language program nearly doubled from 31 to 52 campuses this school year.

Even though 445 students report Vietnamese as their first language, Houston ISD opened a Mandarin Chinese Language Immersion School in 2012, then serving a miniscule 0.5 percent or 319 of all enrolled students.

Last year, Houston school officials actively worked with the Arab American Cultural and Community Center to recruit Arabic-speaking volunteers for the district’s then-754 students whose first language was Arabic to serve an influx of “refugees from Iraq, Egypt and Syria, whose families fled violence and ongoing conflict,” according to KRTK-13 (ABC).

Arabic Immersion Magnet (AIM) School Principal Kate Adams says in “The Importance of Arabic Immersion” district promotional video that the new school will use a 50/50 model where “students spend half their day learning in English and half their day learning in Arabic” for them to eventually become bi-cultural. The pre-k and kindergarten youngsters learn math and science in Arabic but Language Arts and Social Studies in English. Adams said all teachers are native Arabic speakers.

Adams spent a portion of her childhood in Cairo because of her father’s career in the oil business, according to the Houston Chronicle.

She emphasized in the video that students will also learn to “really appreciate the uniqueness of each country in the Arab world.” Adams predicted boundless career opportunities she believed available for fully functionally bi-lingual student who “understand the [Arabic] culture and appreciate how to do business in a very diverse and unique environment.”

The district insists the Arabic Immersion Magnet School is not a religious school.

Pamela Geller: Charlie Hebdo Butchery Motivated Dallas Protest

Share Button

BRIGHT

The grassroots came out en masse to rally with American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) president Pamela Geller, who    spoke on behalf of free speech on Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the Dallas suburb of Garland. They gathered across the street  from the Curtis Culwell Center, the public school-owned facility which housed the Islamic fundraiser, Stand with the Prophet, that ignited a community controversy.

Breitbart Texas spoke with Geller and asked why she decided to come out to Garland. She cited the Charlie Hebdo butchery as that impetus.

“In the wake of the slaughter of these writers and these cartoonists, you would think in America the Muslims would hold a conference in support of free speech. Instead, they’re holding a summit in support of the very ideology responsible for the slaughter of that editorial staff,” she told Breitbart Texas.

To illustrate her point, Geller handed out large inflatable yellow #2 pencils to symbolize the very tool of free speech that cost 12 French satirical magazine cartoonists their lives by the hands of radical Islam.

“This is about freedom of speech,” Geller emphasized. She pondered why, in the aftermath of the Charlie Hebdo massacre, “it’s not the Muslim world looking introspectively and asking themselves, what is it about the religious underpinnings of this ideology” that lead to such an atrocity? Instead, they go to a different place.  That place, she said, “is always fear of Islamophobia.”

Breitbart Texas first reported that at the heart of the controversy was Garland Independent School District (ISD) taxpayers’ concerns that the Islamic benefit was held on public school property. The $30-plus million multi-purpose Curtis Culwell Center was funded by the property taxpayers mainly through revenue bonds in 2002. The Garland school district services the municipalities of Garland, Rowlett, and Sachse.

Geller cited this as a violation of the Establishment Clause, which prevents the US government from showing preferential treatment for one religion over another. This benefit featured Imam Sirraj Wahhaj, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombings. Geller recounted that Wahhaj had its mastermind, the “Blind Sheik” Omar Abdel Rahman, speak to his New York City congregation a number of times.

Rahman was convicted in 1995 of plotting to blow up the World Trade Center and other New York City landmarks.

Geller said that Wahhaj has called for an Islamic caliphate to replace the US government. Another prominent Stand with the Prophet speaker and event producer Malik Mujahid has advocated for Sharia or Islamic law in the United States, even though his attorneys claimed his statements were “taken out of context,” according to CBS DFW.

“This is what they are standing up for?” Geller asked. “This is what the superintendent is putting in your public schools?”

She added, ” It’s an abomination.”

Geller underscored that Garland ISD superintendent Bob Morrison had been “co-opted and should be fired” referencing his attempt to impose Arabic as a mandated language previously.

In 2011, Morrison, who was then Mansfield ISD superintendent, tried to bring in mandatory Arabic language classes into his former district through a federal grant awarded to teach the Arabic, East Texas ABC affiliate KLTV-7 reported.

The district insisted the curriculum would not be about the Islamic faith but parents stopped the program saying they should have been informed about the federal Foreign Language Assistance Program Grant that identified Arabic as a ‘language of the future.’

Garland ISD residents felt similarly disenfranchised as to what their taxpayer dollars were supporting at the Curtis Culwell Center. Stand With the Prophet was unassumingly listed on the event calendar under Sound Vision Foundation, Incorporated. These sentiments were voiced by many at the rally.

Becky Nelson, a Garland resident, has ancestral roots that run deep in the area. Her paternal family established the neighboring city of Rowlett. She was gravely concerned. “I pay taxes, I am a good citizen and I feel I have no say. No one has a say or a vote. You get to pay taxes but have no say,” she told Breitbart Texas.

Another 15-year Rowlett property taxpayer who asked to remain anonymous added to the conversation, noting the eerie parallels of “taxation without representation” that Garland ISD families feel in the handling of the matter.

This resident also referenced the recent school board meeting in which the board president seemed to give equal rights to rent the facility although it came at the expense of the people who got to pay for the facility who had no say in what their school board does.

“It’s not right. We’re paying for it; our government officials are turning a deaf ear to us,” she said.

At the recent Garland ISD Board of Trustees meeting a small handful of school property taxpayers spoke during the public forum section, voicing reservations over the district renting its multipurpose center for an Islamic fundraiser.

After hearing only the first few comments, school board president Rick Lambert said, “I’d ask that you address new issues rather than saying the same thing over.”

“Garland ISD would never allow a neo-Nazi or an Arian nation group to rent the building but they allow a group whose main speaker advocates the overthrow of the United States government and the end of our way of life?,” the resident added.

Surrounding community members like Irving’s Nancey Tresler told Breitbart Texas, “We find it ironic that the place the Muslims choose is a school where religion is banned from school. Islam is an all encompassing political and religious philosophy of government. They should not be allowed on school grounds.”

Some, like Garland resident Sandra Bunch were just plain scared of radical Islam. She said, “It really irks the living daylights out of me that my school tax dollars are going to fund this (facility) for people who want to kills us.”

Area Tea Party representatives voiced concerns from an even broader perspective.

Frisco Tea Party president Tom Fabry told Breitbart Texas that he was there “to support American laws for American courts. Sharia is not a ‘fit’ for American values.”

Barbara Harless from the North Texas Citizens Lobby, agreed. “Islam is not compatible with our constitution.”

Small business owner Wayne Richard of Plano was also there to show support for the Bill of Rights and the Constitution. “This is about free speech and the First Amendment. Sharia law’s very foundation is incompatible with what this country stands for.”

For North Texas resident Ron Murphy II, however, it came back around to Garland ISD. He told Breitbart Texas, “I am protesting them using taxpayer funded building for what I’d consider propaganda.”

Murphy added that he’d have no issue if this event, or others like it, had been happening on private property.

Those of us who believe that Islam is a “religion of peace” that desires to live in harmony with the West and is comprised mainly of “moderates” who pose no danger to our way of life are living in a fool’s paradise. Despite its bloody sectarian divisions, Islam is strong, durable, belligerent and determined to impose its faith-based imperium upon an infidel world through one or another form of jihad. Violent jihad is the child of short-term thinking; stealth jihad is an expression of long-term planning. The only difference between the incendiary and the vanilla, the “extremist” and the “assimilated,” is patience, for both adhere to the tenets and commands of the Koran and the Sunnah. “Moderates,” whether they know it or not, keep the faith intact, maintaining its longevity and social status; their militant brethren profit from both the informal and official approval that “moderation” ensures, staking out the terrain in which the radicals are able to operate unhindered. As I’ve written before, moderation is the sea in which the sharks swim. (The British website Liberty GBfeatures a sober and persuasive article, “Ten Reasons Why Moderate Muslims Are Not the Answer,” which should be consulted by those who believe they are.)

A keynote speaker at the October 2013 Islamic Peace Conference in Oslo, addressing an audience of several hundred ordinary Muslim citizens, repeatedly made the point that “normal” Muslims hold to the same Koranic principles mandating abhorrent  punishments as do the “extremists,” concluding that this cultural and scriptural contiguity somehow proves that normal Muslims are not extremists. Go figure! What he actually succeeded in showing is that Islam is Islam and not the innocuous doppelgänger we ludicrously wish or assume it to be. It is from its very origins a conquering religion that has never ceased throughout its more than 1400 year history to pursue its constitutive and self-defining aims. Like the tide, it has advanced and receded many times over, but it is now poised to complete an inundation from which we in the West may not recover. And we have only ourselves to blame.

There are, broadly speaking, five categories of individuals who refuse to take the Islamic threat seriously or who claim that no such credible threat even exists, namely: (1) overt or covert sympathizers and allies; (2) those who have been bought off with fees, perquisites or substantial gifts of money or donations to a cause or institution; (3) those who feel secure and protected, imbued with a “gated community” mindset, convinced they are exempt from any possible menace (no mosque will ever be built in their neighborhoods); (4) those who have been intimidated into keeping a low profile; and (5) the indifferent or ignorant, the low information — no information majority uninterested in or oblivious to the wider issues that impinge upon the health of the culture or the well-being of society.

Such attitudes bear an uncanny resemblance to the prognosis spelled out for Western civilization in the cataclysmic vision of Oswald Spengler’s The Decline of the West. As historian H. Stuart Hughes explained in his study of Spengler’s thought, a new “Caesarism” or tyranny will proclaim itself in our time, “while the mass of mankind will look on in bewilderment, apathy or resignation, ready to accept without question” their depressing fate. “A new primitivism will begin to pervade all human activity [and men] will be ready to believe anything,” as part of a “second religiosity” that Spengler foresees.

There is much truth in Spengler’s diagnostics. The secular religion of Communism has been superseded by the political faith of Islam, both aspects of that “second religiosity” replacing the Judeo-Christian foundation of the West. In the present time, the “new primitivism” of Islam has been embraced or accepted, consciously or passively, by a sweeping constituency of the bewildered, the resigned, the credulous — and, of course, the exploitative and the parasitical.

Owing significantly to the five categories enumerated above, it seems plausible to assume that the “clash of civilizations” in which we are now profoundly embroiled — the struggle between a far too insouciant West and the forces of supremacist Islam — will eventually be settled in favor of the latter. Barring a sudden awakening and an unlikely stiffening of resolve, the West as we have known it in recent history is probably doomed. Observing the shameful spectacle of Western politicians bending over backwards to placate their growing Muslim immigrant populations or siding with  the objectives of their leaders, to the point where an American president has salted his administration with Muslim Brotherhood operatives and has materially supported its adherents abroad; considering the successful strategy of lawfare jihad, which has in effect suborned the legal community and the judiciary, as well as bullying many writers, journalists, magazines, newspapers and TV networks into an unoffending silence; and reflecting on the vast cohort of profiteers, academics, intellectuals, members of the privileged classes, and illiterates functional or otherwise who offer no opposition to or even concretely facilitate the progress of Islam — it is hard to escape the conclusion that it is only a matter of time before Islam triumphantly asserts its hegemony over the West.

Naturally, it won’t happen overnight, but it is happening gradually and inexorably, day by day, year by year, as one bastion after another falls to Islam’s insidious predation: lawfare in the courts in which citizens and citizen groups taking issue with Islamic practices are driven into bankruptcy; major cities being carved up into no-go zones or problematic neighborhoods; universities becoming hotbeds of Islamic advocacy; the mainstream media launching itself, in Doug Giles’ apt formulation, as “21st century truth reconstructors”; race-based or two-tier policing; political parties assiduously seeking Muslim votes and political administrations civic and national, as we have seen, riddled with Islamic agents. Islam has understood that it cannot win on the battlefield, but that it can bring its millennial campaign against the West to fruition on the fields of civil society, culture, the judiciary, the media, the entertainment industry, the constabulary, the political establishment and the energy sector.

And again, as we have noted, it is aided and abetted by a miscellaneous fifth column  of fellow travelers whose posture toward Islam — whether through fear, ignorance, delusion, conciliation, profit, or liberal complacency and multicultural toleration of the intolerant — is one of supine compliance. The sequel seems foreordained. Conor Cruise O’Brien in On the Eve of the Millennium gives Western civilization 200 years before it collapses. He is probably being over-optimistic. A new poll, for example, based on exploding Muslim birth rates in conjunction with the so-called “deathbed demography” of Europe, has projected that Britain will be a majority Muslim nation by the year 2050. Indeed, the Malthusian geometric increase in Muslim immigrant populations spells the end of Europe as we know it and the victorious ascension of Eurabia. It has been estimated that France, Germany and Scandinavia are well on the way to Muslim majority status before mid-century. Even Russia faces the prospect of internal subversion, home to a restive Muslim population that constitutes 25% of the census.

Yet a majority is not essential for a robust minority group to dominate political and cultural life. According to what Raymond Ibrahim calls the “rule of numbers,” statistics show that a ratio of three or four to ten is sufficient for an aggressive minority to inflict havoc or acquire authoritative influence and decisively change the character of a nation. Even in regions where such numbers are lacking, as in the U.S. and Canada, targeted insinuation into the political echelon, cultural institutions, jurisprudential legislation and interfaith colloquia can affect the balance of social relations to the detriment of native populations. Speaking at the July 9, 2012 International Free Speech and Human Rights Conference in Brussels, the Catholic bishop and scholar of Islam known as le Père Samuel Boniface did not mince words: “One mosque in Europe is worse than nuclear.” The cultural and theological radiation that has infected the West, Father Samuel implies, may well be terminal if it is not stubbornly resisted by principled people — a vanishing breed, unfortunately.

We are now on the cusp of colonization by an imperial juggernaut that has found a winning strategy: not confrontation but infiltration. It need no longer frontally assault the gates of Vienna; it enters the civil nexus and the body politic surreptitiously, taking out citizenship as a way of taking out the opposition. Terror, for all the devastation it wreaks, is merely a tactic that accompanies this larger strategy. And we who are Islam’s victims are really, for the most part, its collaborators, for if we are to be defeated, then we will have defeated ourselves, succumbing to our own weakness and obsequiousness, or to an erroneous calculation of where our interests lie. Father Samuel, who lived in the Arab-Muslim Middle East for thirty five years, has studied Islam for forty, and is fluent in Arabic, Hebrew and several other languages, is not far off the mark when he warns that “there is an invasion of Europe guided from outside, carefully planned by…some of our leaders…in order for Islam to replace Judaism and Christianity here in the Western world.” When one contemplates the domestic and foreign policies of “some of our leaders” past and present — Jacques Chirac, Jens Stoltenberg, Carl Bildt, Tony Blair, Barack Obama, to name only a few — in concert with the hospitality of the West to massive Muslim immigration, one cannot readily dismiss the cleric as a conspiracy-monger. One would then be constrained to do the same for the most reputable scholars in the discipline, including Johan BourlardSerge TrifkovicAndrew Bostom and Bat Ye’or, who have meticulously documented the failure of the West before the Islamic offensive.

Bruce Bawer, author of While Europe Slept and Surrender, points out that “the day is coming” when the Islamic cohort we have welcomed into our countries will be “calling the shots.” The window is rapidly closing for Scandinavia in particular, he points out — Bawer lives in Norway — where the native population has “been trained from infancy to react when they hear words like Islam, immigration, racism and xenophobia” with guilt, acceptance and collective dhimmitude, “like obedient subjects of imported masters.” But Sweden, Britain, France, and Norway are bellwethers of the future of the Western world. Civilizational exhaustion has set in like a wasting disease, and Islam is only the manner in which we have decided to commit collective suicide. As Martin Heidegger said in a 1966 Der Spiegel interview, “Only a God can save us.” The tragedy is that the God who commands the furtive army of saboteurs and cultural vandals invading our borders, with our willing and often enthusiastic complicity, is committed not to our salvation but to our destruction.

Muslim Brotherhood’s World Domination Blueprint

20130708_egypt_brotherhood_morsi_LARGE

Unappreciative of Western philosophy, members of Egypt’s Muslim Brotherhood probably never heard an analogy first mentioned by Roman statesman Cicero — “putting the cart before the horse!” For more than two millennia, the phrase has applied to situations of misplaced priorities.

In the aftermath of the Egyptian military removing from office the country’s fifth — and first democratically elected — president, Mohamed Morsi, the Muslim Brotherhood is gaining an education about the phrase.

From its inception in 1928, the Muslim Brotherhood has been the subject of persecution due to its commitment to a single goal — transitioning the world into an Islamic empire.

Recognizing Islamism begins at home, the Brotherhood plodded along for more than eight decades under four presidents seeking to achieve the goal in Egypt. Like a race horse heading home, the Muslim Brotherhood’s pace quickened, sensing victory was near with Morsi’s election.

The Muslim Brotherhood saw its gains as “one small step” for Islam and “one giant leap” for Muslimkind.

Not content with small successful steps, it moved to take a giant leap in Egypt. It stumbled and seems headed back to its earlier days of harsh persecution under previous presidents.

A U.S. commercial claims four out of five dentists recommend its product, suggesting the four have superior knowledge to the one who doesn’t. Similarly, four out of five Egyptian presidents have sought to minimize the Muslim Brotherhood’s influence, suggesting they possess superior knowledge as to why it poses a danger — one clearly recognized by the Egyptian military.

That danger was set aside in 2011 by U.S. President Barack Obama, who announced the United States would work with the Muslim Brotherhood, an organization seeking America’s long-term demise.

Morsi was the Muslim Brotherhood’s “poster boy,” coming to office because the Brotherhood was the only domestic organization with the infrastructure in place to support a candidate.

While proving inept as president, failing to act upon major domestic problems like the economy, Morsi chose to help the Muslim Brotherhood establish a stranglehold on the people. No attempt was made to lull the people into a false sense of security as Morsi put the cart before the horse, quickly seeking to impose the Muslim Brotherhood’s will upon them. Compared to the former Soviet Union, Morsi sought neither glasnost nor perestroika.

What the Muslim Brotherhood had planned for Egypt extended far beyond those borders.

In the early 1990s, the Brotherhood memorialized its strategy in a secret document — not discovered until 2004 — for spreading Islam’s reach to U.S. borders as well. In a game plan best described as “Shariah creep,” it sought to introduce Islamic law into the United States, gradually getting it to replace rights guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.

Sound absurd? We have already seen Shariah applied by U.S. state courts!

The Muslim Brotherhood’s strategy mandated Muslims immigrate to the United States, ignoring its “mixing bowl” of cultures concept by non-assimilation. In this way, Muslims remained pure in their efforts to go forth and multiply, gaining more and more influence in the United States.

The idea of a large, non-assimilated Muslim population gaining influence on foreign shores has long been promoted by leaders such as Turkey’s Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan who once said, “The mosques are our barracks, the domes are our helmets, the minarets are our swords and the faithful are our army.”

There is little doubt what role such leaders envision for their “army.”

One example of a state court applying Shariah involved a Muslim husband accused of raping his Muslim wife. Arguing that Shariah allows a husband to forcefully impose himself upon a non-consenting wife, he was found not guilty.

One can only wonder how long it will be before such rationale is applied to Muslim defendants killing a family member, declaring their innocence under the Islamic concept of “honor killings.”

The Muslim Brotherhood game plan involves initially using “peaceful” jihad to impose Shariah, playing on the concept of political correctness to maximize their stature while minimizing U.S. values. Once achieved, having lulled Americans into a false security, “violent” jihad follows.

The Muslim Brotherhood has set up dozens of “front companies” in the United States to launch peaceful jihad. They wave the flag of Islamophobia whenever concerns are raised about rising Islamic influence over-riding valued U.S. principles.

Such flag-waving has enabled one front company to play a role in advising the U.S. military whom it should accept as a religious leader within its ranks — preaching a religion promoting Muslim superiority and death to non-believers.

When New York City ran an ad on buses showing pictures of 16 criminals wanted for terrorist activity, a Muslim Brotherhood front company objected to the image portrayed as all were Muslims. It succeeded in getting the city to remove the ad.

All this leaves one with mixed emotions. The violence demonstrated by the Egyptian military against Morsi and Muslim Brotherhood supporters is worrisome but so, too, is the impact an unfettered Brotherhood would have not only in Egypt but elsewhere as well.

We must recognize the Muslim Brotherhood is the Sunni equivalent of Iran. Just as the Iranian clerics established a secure environment in which to flourish and export violence to spread its Shiite version of Islam, this too remains the Brotherhood’s goal.

There is one big difference, however. Tehran’s clerics were successful because they ensured they operated out of a secured homeland before launching jihad. But the Muslim Brotherhood became so enthralled with initial domestic success, they failed to do the same. It was only the army’s recognition of the Brotherhood’s true intentions that prompted it to decapitate a civilian leadership dedicated to opening wider the door to the Muslim Brotherhood’s increased influence.

The Egyptian army’s actions have taught the Muslim Brotherhood the meaning of putting the cart before the horse. One can only hope it is a lesson from which the Brotherhood never recovers.
